Therapeutic Response Statement (Sensitivity)
This therapeutic response statement supports the relationship that BRAF p.V600E status confers therapeutic sensitivity to Dabrafenib, Trametinib in patients with Low-Grade Glioma, NOS.
Health Canada approved trametinib in combination with dabrafenib for the treatment of pediatric patients 1 year of age and older with BRAF V600E-mutant low-grade glioma (LGG) requiring systemic therapy.
This statement is based on a regulatory approval from the Health Canada:
MEKINIST (trametinib) in combination with dabrafenib is indicated for the treatment of pediatric patients 1 year of age and older with low-grade glioma (LGG) with a BRAF V600E mutation who require systemic therapy.
